The most common cause for hair loss is that you might have inherited the condition from your ancestors. If you have a family history of baldness, you may experience it.

2.Hormonal changes-

A change in hormones too can cause hair loss. For example, pregnancy, childbirth, puberty, and menopause can cause hair fall.

3.Diet-

The diet you eat can affect your health and hair as well. A diet that lacks protein, iron, and even other nutrients can cause hair loss.

4.Medical conditions-

Certain medical conditions too can be the reason for short hair. Alopecia Areata, Lupus, Thyroid disease, Lichen planus, Ringworm include a few of them

5.Medical treatments-

Certain medical treatments as well can cause hair loss. This can occur when one is being treated for cancer, hypertension, arthritis, depression, and heart problems.

An incident can affect your mind as well as your hair. Certain incidents that cause shock such as the demise of a close one or sudden weight loss can trigger hair loss.

7.Cosmetics-

Cosmetics are the major cause of hair loss. Various unwanted chemicals we use in our hair. Moreover, the regular use of various appliances such as a hair straightener, hairdryer, hair roller, etc. hampers your hair.

8.Hairstyles-

Certain hairstyles cause pressure on the follicles and thereby increases the risk of hair loss. Regular practice of such hairstyles can cause great damage to your hair.

TREATMENTS-

Hair loss can be diagnosed with the help of a dermatologist. There are various treatments for that, based on its severity.

OTC or Over Counter medications as prescribed by the dermatologist on a large scale. OTC comprises topical creams or gels. Most of this helps contain Rogaine as their key ingredient.

Few times an oral medicine, Propecia to is recommended. This medicine is often prescribed for male baldness.

Corticoid steroids such as Prednisone are included as another option for the treatment of hair loss.

Certain surgeries such as Hair Transplant Surgery and Scalp reduction are recommended for extreme hair loss.

Haircare is as much important as skincare. People often neglect hair care and later complain when the consequences are out. Diet, hair-do, cosmetics are what through which we can prevent hair loss. Hair needs to be taken care of. A strong hair is indeed a symbol of a nourished body.
